Background

Working in our tax and audit departments, Claire helps her clients with the skills to improve their financial capacity. She understands that the figures she works with are not simply numbers, but results of the lives lived by her clients. As such, she builds collaborative relationships with them to understand their goals and lifestyles and provide meaningful advice that applies her technical expertise to their situation.

Claire's past work experience includes a two year position in Benin (West Africa) as a Treasurer for SIM. This honed her problem solving skills to find creative solutions to issues that had no obvious resolutions. She also learned the value of clear, concise communication and strategies to share information in an unambiguous way. Claire combines these skills in her work at RDL, generating fresh ideas for her clients and conveying complex ideas with clarity.

When she's not at work, Claire enjoys getting in touch with her creative side in a number of ways. Whether she's whipping up a lemon tart, a new quilt, or a tax return, Claire approaches each task with enthusiasm and humour. She appreciates the challenges of each and relishes in a job well done.
