The ATO will soon begin to make JobKeeper payments to eligible businesses. More than 400,000 businesses have enrolled covering around 2.4 million employees, but with many more still to join, the ATO has announced an extension to the registration date to remain entitled to claim for the first two fortnights.
The ATO has announced a registration extension to end of May, and an extension to 8th May for employers to make JobKeeper top-up salary payments to employees. Employers who pay by this date will be able to count such payments as eligible for the first two fortnights of JobKeeper.
